Hi, nice to meet you! My name is Dominic, the founder of NEXDOOR Home Improvement LLC. Our story began long before the business had a name. When I was 16, my single mother moved our family into a house that needed more work than we could afford. With no budget for repairs, I decided to learn the skills myself — carpentry, painting, small repairs, anything we needed. What started as a way to help my family became a passion that shaped my future.
From there, I pursued an education in carpentry at a local trade school, and spent years learning on job sites from experienced tradesmen. Those lessons in craft, integrity, and doing things the right way inspired me to eventually start NEXDOOR Home Improvement — a company built on skill, honesty, and neighborly service.
Today, our family business is proud to offer a wide range of residential and commercial services, from home upgrades to facility maintenance. Whether we’re working in someone’s home, an apartment building, or a professional environment like a hospital or office, we hold the same standard:
